World Fun City, have released the results of their first ever “fun index.” The World Fun City Index is a new national study conducted to measure the state of fun in America taking into account the economy and the limited personal time a number of Americans are experiencing.
According to the gum makers, one in five people (19 percent) said they couldn’t remember the last time they had fun. Furthermore, fewer than eighteen percent (18 percent) of people reported taking the opportunity to do something just for fun each day.
In an effort to reverse those dismal numbers, World Fun City launched a campaign to demonstrate how even just a sliver of their gum can bring fun into your everyday life. With their fun index in tow and obviously fresh breath, World Fun City looked to Facebook to survey which cities are having the “best time.”
The results are based on responses to questions designed to understand consumer attitudes and behaviors relating to fun.
Houston
With The Space Center, the Houston theater and numerous other attractions, Houstonians report that they’re having a good time in their city.

Boston
Washington, D.C.
The home of Michelle and Barry O is the seventh most fun city. With a plethora of bars and hangout spots for everyone’s taste, it’s easy to see why.

Los Angeles
When people aren’t celeb stalking in L.A., they’re actually having fun. Go figure!

Dallas
Dallas is a relatively big city in a big state that has big fun. Enough said.

San Francisco
Home to the Golden Gate Bridge and other tourist attractions, San Francisco is believable at the number four spot.

Chicago
With huge events like ‘The Taste’ every year that draws people from across state lines, Chicago’s number three spot is definitely believable.

New York
Everyone loves New York, especially New Yorkers. A flood of New Yorkers flooded Trident’s survey to promote their city as the ‘most fun.’

Atlanta
My own personal favorite and the home to the Braves, the Falcons and plethora of fun; Altanta is said to be the ‘most fun’ city in the country. ATL has culture, sports and people who believe in partying Monday-Sunday. What more can you ask for?
